Empowering People.Enriching Communities.Building a More Just World.
The Ignatius Foundation champions economic opportunity, social justice, and youth empowerment — so every person can achieve their full potential.
Three Foundational Pillars
Everything we do flows through three programs aligned with Phi Beta Sigma's national mission — realized through Sigma Wellness.
Bigger & Better Business
Economic Opportunity
Since 1924, we have championed minority-owned businesses — providing resources, mentorship, and connections to help entrepreneurs build lasting wealth and economic independence in their communities.
- Business development workshops
- Minority entrepreneur networking
- Financial literacy programs
- Access to capital pathways
Social Action
Justice & Equity
Formulated in 1934, our Social Action program addresses systemic barriers through Brotherhood for Justice Reform, Healthy Communities, Safe Communities, and Voting Empowerment.
Education & Youth Enrichment
Mentorship & Leadership
Through our Sigma Beta Club — the first youth auxiliary of any NPHC organization — we mentor young men ages 6–18, providing scholarships, tutoring, and leadership development.
Service Areas
Measuring What Matters
Real numbers from real people whose lives have been changed through service.
Where Service Meets Impact
Hands-on programs that meet people where they are and help them get where they want to go.

Sigma Beta Club
The first youth auxiliary group of any NPHC organization — mentoring young men ages 6 to 18 with guidance, educational support, and character development. One of the most active Sigma Beta Clubs in the region.

Workforce Development
Connecting community members with career pathways, professional development resources, and the skills needed to thrive in a changing economy. We partner with local employers to create real opportunities.

Community Health Initiatives
Partnering with the American Cancer Society, March of Dimes, and CDC to address health disparities and provide wellness resources to underserved communities across Suffolk County.
